The role of Senior Tax Accountant is to ensure compliance with its various tax obligations and to assist in developing a comprehensive tax strategy.

Work Location: 6000 Jensen Drive Houston, TX 77026
- Prepare the Yearly, Quarterly, and monthly filings for Sales and Use tax returns.
- Prepare the Yearly, Quarterly and Monthly filings of tangible and intangible property return.
- Assist implementation of Sales Tax Reporting software in new ERP
- Work with outsource tax partner ensure all deadlines including annual reporting are met.
- Coordinate Tax Audits directly with Tax Authorities with or without external support (preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.).
- Reconciling income tax accounts and ensure the correct booking of tax payments, provisions, credits, etc. on the balance sheet and P&L
- Prepared and filed various annual business registrations
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred but not required
- 5+ years of related experience- In-depth knowledge of US federal, state and local reporting and tax requirements in a holding company environment.
- Excellent tax accounting and analytical skills.
- Highly Functional in Office (Advanced Excel Skills a must).
- Proficiency in tax software, including Avalara sales tax software.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
