Alpine SnowGuards designs, engineers, and manufactures snow and solar snow management systems for all roof types, both new and retrofit, from our facilities in Morrisville, VT. As the innovator of several patented products, including the first and only solar snow management system on the market, our company is employee-owned and staffed by talented individuals whose knowledge and technical skills have established us as a leader in the industry.

Role Description

- 1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards to include reconciliation of various general ledger accounts, bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Investigate & report any discrepancies.

- Assist with monitoring and reviewing internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting procedures.

- Analyzing financial data to identify trends and potential issues.

- Supporting payroll processing.

- Ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of processes to help reduce the length of the overall close process.

- Prepare bi-weekly check runs.

- Assist with processing accounts payable, accounts receivable

- Assist in developing and analyzing budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

- Work with an outside accountant with respect to quarterly tax planning and year-end adjustments.

- Work with various management personnel to develop informative periodic financial reports, including sales reporting, inventory reporting, and profit analysis by product line.

Qualifications

- Minimum 4-yr bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.

- Work experience in the private sector in a similar position, preferably 2+ years.

- Excellent computer and communication skills.

- Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset

- Motivated, self-starter, problem-solver, ability to work independently

- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and general accounting best practices.

- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning.
