Overview
The Tank (Erection) Foreman is responsible for supervising a crew that field erects, fits, welds, grinds, and inspects new steel storage tanks, vessels, and structures and that makes repairs to existing steel storage tanks, vessels, and structures.

Qualifications
+ Plans work, crew, and TES for the day ahead of time by days/weeks. + Follow Schedule and progress, work-hours budgets, as planned. + Ability to plan & deploy personnel per site requirement. + Resource planning - Personnel, Equipment and Tools Allocation/Requirement. + Understands and follows Project schedule. + Understanding of work scope, work hour & plan for the project. + Works with management and client to manage safety schedule and productivity. + Maintains high Welder Utilization. + Effectively assigns personnel. + Planning of Daily work. + Preparation of lifting plan and implementation per lift plans.
+ Able to fluently read, write, and speak English. + Excellent Internal Communication skills (HSE, QC, Management, HR, etc.). + Ability to communicate directions effectively verbally from supervisors and respond to questions from managers and fellow workers.
+ W-Sheet, WPS, and ITP. + Rigging Procedures and Requirements
- Basic Rigging Training is required.
- Work with PMT to understand load type, offloading/loading plan, area compaction, and main steel spacing plan for proper preservation.
- Ordering/requesting tools/equipment for rigging.
- Load carry & rigging problem-solving skills.
- Able to conduct periodic inspections and maintain records.+ Tank Bottom/Lapped Plate - layout and fit. + Tank/Sphere shell plate - erect and fit. + Tank fittings - layout and fit. + Structural - erection and fit-up. + Compression bar / Shell stiffener / Wind girder / Top Angle. + Oxy fuel cutting. + Roof installation - all types + Tank Builders scaffold - erection and use + Weld seam grinding. + Manlift / Scissor / Gondola / Spider Buggy Lift use, operation, and maintenance. + Specialized Tank Activities - Air Raise / Hydrotest / Seal / Pneumatic Testing, etc. + QC Processes - ITPs, Specifications, Notifications, etc. + Construction Manuals and Sequences. + Cranes (grove/Terex, Liebherr, etc.) and their accessories for safe lifting. + How to do basic load calculations. + How to inspect lifting & safety tools / equipment's. + Operational & basic maintenance of all welding equipment. + Preheat & PWHT requirements. + Crane signals. + Equipment & tools operation. + Progress, workhours & Cost budgets, performance, etc
+ Access elevated work platforms and scaffolds using ladders, stairways, or other designated access ways. + Climb structures utilizing appropriate fall protection and available handholds and footholds. + Work with precise limits or standards of accuracy. + Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of all lines, figures, and objects. + Understand verbal instructions and written posted notices. + Comply with all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures. + Perform general labor on construction sites. + Work in confined spaces where respirators and fresh air equipment are utilized. + Maintain and use personal protective equipment. + Practice good housekeeping to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area. + Perform a variety of duties, which may often change.
