Systems Engineer – Buffalo, NY

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead the design, deployment, and support of Microsoft 365 services including Intune, Autopilot, Autopatch, Windows Hello, Conditional Access, and Entra ID (Azure AD).

- Provide expert level support for client computing devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals) and operating systems.

- Develop and maintain endpoint security posture in collaboration with the Cybersecurity team, including patching, MFA, PIN, TAP and lifecycle workflows.

- Modernize legacy imagining and patching methods using Microsoft cloud-native solutions and automation tools.

- Manage software deployment, configuration, and remote support using tools like Intune, Ivanti, and PowerShell.

- Participate in the development of policies, procedures, and documentation for client systems and M365 services.

- Mentor junior team members and provide direct support to end users as needed.

- Collaborate with IT leadership to align endpoint strategies with business goals and future state architecture.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or related field).

- 5+ years of experience in client systems engineering or endpoint administration.

- Strong knowledge of Windows OS (10/11), Active Directory, Group Policy and PowerShell scripting.

- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and support.

- Proficiency in endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM, Ivanti).

- Experience with Windows imaging (MDT/WDS), patching (WSUS, 3rd party), and automation.

- Familiarity with BYOD and mobile device management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (or equivalent experience).

- Experience with Microsoft Autopilot and Autopatch development and deployment.

- Strong understanding of cloud technologies and hybrid environments.

- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).

- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $60,500 - $96,000. This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
