System Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Create and/or update test and development plans for autonomous haul truck testing.

· Execute testing on autonomous trucks.

· Analyze test data.

· Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software issues for autonomous haul trucks.

· Thoroughly document and communicate issues found during testing.

· Write test reports and give recommendations based on testing experience.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field with 5-7 years’ experience.

· Master’s 4+ years’ experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Computer literate (windows operating system).

· Experience troubleshooting issues in complex systems.

· Experience in testing or development of control systems, vehicles, engines, or technologies such as autonomy.

· Must be able to work 2nd shift 1:30pm -12am, Monday -Thursday. Training will be on 1st shift

DESIRED SKILLS:

· Ubuntu or Linux operating systems experience.

· Test planning/documentation experience.

· Electrical schematics experience.

· Autonomous systems experience such as perception, planning, or positioning.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Problem-solving skills.

· Ability to communicate technical information.

· Ability to work independently.

· Teamwork skills.

· Time Management skills.
