Job Summary
This position is for a Senior Business Analyst to work on the EMS Upgrade project at Xcel Energy. The role involves defining and managing requirements for upgrading the Transmission SCADA system. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, ensuring successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
•
Define and manage requirements for the EMS Upgrade project
•
Develop as-is and to-be workflows
•
Gather and document functional requirements
•
Produce use cases and ensure traceability from requirements to test cases
•
Create visual diagrams representing process flows and project timelines
•
Act as a liaison between business and IT teams
Skills
•
Minimum 7 years of Business Analyst experience
•
Proficiency in collecting and managing business needs throughout the project lifecycle
•
Strong communication skills for facilitating meetings and building relationships with stakeholders
•
Ability to review design documentation and test cases for alignment with requirements
•
Experience with requirement change management on software projects
Qualifications
•
Direct experience with Electric Transmission SCADA solutions preferred
•
Familiarity with Electric Transmission business processes highly desired
