Summary
The Contract Analyst is responsible for ensuring the appropriate and efficient administration of the commercial and risk aspects of Iconic’s business to ensure that it operates within the established guidelines.
The Contract Analyst works with the Business Development, Estimating, Procurement and Project Teams to provide guidance on new and existing contracts, both for purchases and sales.
The Contract Analyst also administers the insurance policies of the business; working with the CFO to ensure that appropriate levels of coverage are in place and all documentation is maintained in accordance with the business requirements.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (paralegal certification or legal training is a plus)
•Familiarity with contract law, procurement processes, and commercial terms.
•2–5 years of experience in a contracts, legal, procurement, or compliance role.
•5+ years’ experience in insurance administration
•Experience in construction preferable
Skills
•Capable of reviewing and improving Iconic’s standard contract clauses and adapting same as required.
•Comfortable and proficient in reviewing contracts for both purchases and sales transactions.
•Thorough understanding of commercial insurance policies
•Ability to resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
•Ability to build relationships with clients.
•Ability to manage a busy, diverse workload.
•Knowledge of standard construction contracting terms for high voltage construction, civil earthworks and distribution systems will be considered assets.
•Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Duties
Contracts Administration
•Review new contracts and provide comments as appropriate for inclusion in bid documentation
•Work with Procurement team to ensure terms and conditions with customers flow down appropriately to suppliers/subcontractors
•Support the negotiation of contract terms with clients, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.
•Provide Contract Summary documents to the Project Team for each project.
•Review, draft, and revise a wide range of contracts including NDAs, service agreements, vendor contracts, and customer agreements.
•Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and risk management standards.
•Track contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, renewal, or termination.
•Maintain and update the contract management system or repository.
•Identify contract risks and propose mitigation strategies.
•Collaborate with external legal, procurement, finance, and business units to ensure contract terms meet business needs.
Insurance
•Liaise with insurance brokers to ensure policy documentation is maintained.
•Ensure Certificates of Insurance are provided to Project and Business Development staff as required.
•Assist in the annual insurance renewal process
•Advise CFO when contractual insurance requirements are not met by existing policies.
