The successful candidate for the Supply Chain Manager – Project Management position will support and participate in the planning execution, serving as the planning team’s primary point of contact for all inventory planning and purchasing needs. This candidate will ensure that products are planned, evaluate risks and opportunities, escalate issues, and communicate all relevant information within Supply & Inventory Planning and global cross functional teams to drive positive business results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Proactively drive the procurement process to secure goods for specific product portfolio with both domestic and international vendors for both America and Canada Blanco locations.
•Work cross functionally on a global team which includes, supply chain management and supply chain execution (Sourcing, procurement, planning/forecasting and product teams)
•Become a subject matter expert for your product portfolio, understanding products which will be launched and discontinued across all North American Markets. Including upper and lower level BOMs (Bill of materials)
•Plan, place and track all Purchase Orders for assigned materials for both America and Canada. This includes material set up, analysis of past usage/ committed orders, PO placement, shipping/expediting, & inventory management across multiple locations. This includes any changes to POs, including product movement from factory to distribution center.
•Under minimal guidance, gathers and interprets Supply Chain data from internal dashboards, reports and SAP to forecast when materials will be needed based on vendor lead-time, sales forecast, future projects, and transportation. Escalate any issues that will cause unfulfilled demand and/or a delay to the expected timelines.
•Convert demands (sales forecasts, customer orders, projects etc.) into planned purchase orders by SKU to assure that materials are available to meet the needs of Blanco’s customers in a cost-effective matter.
•Uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying risks /opportunities, and developing recommendations which support supply chain planning and operations.
•Develop and maintain planning data (safety stock, lead times, minimum and maximum inventory levels, etc.) for assigned product portfolio.
•Perform analysis of responsible product portfolio’s financial spend to ensure inventory accuracy and limit risk for Blanco.
•Question & analyze results, investigate issues, and identify root causes of supply chain issues.
•Participate on projects, including system releases, as assigned.
•Ensure that a positive culture of authority, responsibility, and accountability, along with trust, honesty and respect is developed.
•Promote a safe work environment in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other applicable legislation.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management
•Minimum of 5 years of supply/inventory planning experience required.
•At least 2 years of international purchasing/planning and managing inventory at multiple locations required.
•Excellent written, spoken, and visual communication skills. Specifically, well demonstrated capability converting complex concepts into easy to interpret stories that resonate across a varied audience.
•Flexibility in switching from strategic to tactical and operational levels of thinking and working, specifically in strategy deployment.
•Superior interpersonal, influencing and facilitation skills with the ability to work both cross-functionally and cross-culturally, specifically fostering productive relationships between key players and immediate team.
•Exhibit skills in developing & managing contingency plans, risk factors, and interdependencies. Also exhibit ability to build detailed project plans, including time, resource requirements, budget, and deliverables.
•Ability to construct and manage complex, sophisticated SKU sets.
•Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros)
•Strong knowledge of SAP ERP
•Microsoft Power Business Intelligence experience preferred
•Must have tolerance for a complex, ever-changing and dynamic work environment
•Ability to demonstrate good decision making in ambiguous circumstances
