A Supply Chain Business Partner (SCBP) acts as a strategic liaison between the Supply Chain & Flight Services (SCF) functions and internal/external business partners. The role ensures alignment between Supply Chain & Flight Services capabilities and business objectives, driving value through collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. The SCBP develops a deep understanding of supply chain strategy, business processes like procure to pay and requisition to delivery, and technology requirements to support prioritization of initiatives, risk assessment, and opportunity identification. The SCBP ensures SCF services, strategies, and capabilities align with business priorities by integrating them into strategic roadmaps, governance, and service delivery. The role collaborates with technology teams to define functional requirements, prioritize enhancements, improve processes, and communicate change impacts effectively. By fostering strong relationships and promoting a customer-centric culture, the SCBP builds trusted partnerships with Supply Chain and Flight Services stakeholders. As a strategic advisor, the SCBP supports senior leadership in prioritizing initiatives, developing business cases, and recommending solutions aligned with enterprise goals.
- Develop a deep understanding of business goals, objectives, capabilities, and strategic priorities to ensure services align with business needs.
- Function as a trusted liaison between business units and Supply Chain, fostering strong partnerships and promoting collaboration.
- Represents the business in enterprise roadmaps and strategic reprioritization decisions.
- Partners with client leaders to identify, shape, and prioritize initiatives that deliver strategic value.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build cross-functional relationships to drive meaningful results and convergence of value.
- Collaborates with IT BRM and Technology support teams to define business requirements, support the development of future roadmaps, and evaluate emerging capabilities.
- Ensure ongoing communication between business units and centralized Supply Chain & Flight Services leadership on enterprise initiatives.
- Represent SCF as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Serve as a governance and project intake partner to SCF leaders, ensuring continuous alignment on priorities and initiatives.
- Demand & Service Management
- Prioritize and manage demand requests for Supply Chain services in alignment with business priorities.
- Translate business needs and capabilities into actionable requirements.
- Focus on ensuring services contribute to tangible business value and meet intended outcomes.
- Maintain an understanding of project status through completion
- Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track KPIs and SLAs to measure service effectiveness and quality.
- Collect and incorporate business feedback to address service performance issues.
- Work with IT to implement improvements and optimize processes for greater efficiency.
- Accountable for managing and reporting on post-implementation measurements of success.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Provide regular communication with stakeholders to manage concerns, align expectations, and deliver solutions.
- Establish feedback mechanisms to assess stakeholder satisfaction with services, solutions, and communication.
- Deliver high levels of customer service and responsiveness across business projects.
- Supply Chain & Flight Services - Specific Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Logistics, Hauling, Flight Services, Materials Management, Supplier Management, Supplier Diversity, and Investment Recovery to capture requirements and provide recommendations based on current and future departmental needs.
- Maintain understanding of SRP and Supply Chain policies, procedures, and standards.
- Oversee additional projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to build strong relationships and demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate efforts, and oversee resource delivery.

- Knowledge of systems and work management tools such as Maximo, SAP, Aravo & Ariba (preferred).
A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required (if no degree, 14 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling 14 years).
A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
