We are looking for a Mobile Maintenance Supervisor to join a team of maintenance supervisors and maintenance superintendent by continuing to our mining fleet running efficiently. The department is responsible for maintaining production mining equipment and support equipment in the mine and light mobile equipment in the fixed plant.

This role is a great opportunity to learn and develop your career. Our maintenance staff and supervision work a 12-hr. rotating schedule Sunday through Tuesday or Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday. It is a fixed schedule for dayshift or nightshift and candidates must be flexible to work either shift. Working and reporting to the Superintendent, you will be:
- Considering safety of people within the team as priority when they work and complying with Rio Tinto and Statutory Safety requirements.
- Leading a team of Diesel Mechanics& Electricians to support Heavy Mobile Equipment: D-10 dozers,16H graders, Diesel production drills, 240-ton diesel electric haul truck and electrical shovels.
- Providing leadership for a team of Maintainers and enable each person to contribute to their full potential.
- Following-up and reporting on any action plans assigned to you.
- Monitoring continually the maintenance processes and compliance with the schedule while, improving maintenance processes and activities, with a focus on minimizing costs.
- Demonstrating appropriate behaviour supporting the direction of RTM and articulating your expectations of behaviour to your team members.
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and the team
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in mobile equipment maintenance with increasing responsibility- Experience in supervising a union workforce
- Excellent written verbal, and presentation skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Excellent computer skills, knowledge of MS Office, Excel, MS Project & SAP
- Associate degree
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations
