SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

Prolium Industries Ltd. is currently looking for an experienced Supervisor to join the team. With a “safety first” approach, this position is responsible for overseeing the safe and effective execution of repairs to above ground storage tanks. The successful candidates will be driven, results-orientated and team players, and able to solve problems and present practical solutions to Project Managers, Engineers, and the Client.

Although this position is based in Newfoundland, it could involve traveling throughout Canada.

Key responsibilities:

Assist with training and mentorship of field employees, with emphasis on new and young worker development.

Ensuring submission of all required paperwork and daily LEMS to client and Prolium office for billing and payroll

Key qualifications:

Minimum 3 years supervisory experience

Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required

Legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis

CSID experience is an asset

Welding experience/ ticket (CWB/ B Pressure) is an asset

Pipefitting experience/ ticket is an asset

Previous tank repair experience preferred

Quantified leadership skills

Communication skills, must be fluent in speaking/writing English

Minimum Required Computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol Test

Certifications:

Standard First Aid;

Current Confined Space Entry/Monitor (Workplace NL / OSSA)

Current Fall Protection (Workplace NL / OSSA)

Current Confined Space Rescue an asset

Leadership Safety Excellence

WHMIS

CSTS-09 or OSSA BSO
