Qualifications:
1. Minimum of three years’ experience as a General Foreman or have related experience.
2. Applicable managerial and motivational skills.
3. A valid driver's license.
4. Well-groomed and properly dressed, promoting a professional appearance.
5. Able to hear, speak and see, as well as, have strong: communications skills.
6. Computer literate, have basic operational knowledge including electronic mail, word documents and spreadsheets.
7. Able and willing to travel via ground and/or air transportation. Storm emergencies may require extended out of town stay.
8. Must secure ISA Certified Arborist and/or ISA Utility Specialist Certification and/or ISA Certified Tree Worker. Certification after one year.
Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for the operational results of General Foremen.
2. Schedule weekly crew visits with General Foremen, giving guidance, assistance, and support.
3. Oversee the implementation of the Corporate Safety Program; training sessions, tailgate meetings. and award programs.
4. Work with General Foremen and Corporate Safety investigating and settling accident claims quickly, efficiently, and sensitively.
5. Ensures that high quality arboricultural work is being performed at all times.
6. Ensures that equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and purchasing policies and procedures are completed properly.
7. Continuous contact with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
8. Ensures compliance of all customers' contract specifications and requirements.
9. Maintains open communication with Division Manager on all area operational activities.
10. Ability to review and/or estimate fixed price lump sum bid work.
11. Contacts potential customers as assigned by Regional Vice President or Division Manager.
12. Understands and enforces all company policies and procedures.
13. Attends internal and external training courses, which pertain to improving and developing job related business management and operational skills.
14. Performs all other duties as assigned by Division Manager or Regional Vice President.
