Position Summary
The Director of Finance oversees financial operations across multiple companies, driving success in a fast-paced environment, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include collaborating with department heads, developing financial strategies, managing high-net-worth clients globally, and handling tax filings and financial statements. The position also involves managing accounting, budgeting, and forecasting, preparing training programs, and presenting financial reports to executives and the board. Additionally, the role requires strong leadership, mentoring staff, supporting business planning, and managing mergers and acquisitions.

Operations and Business Development
•Actively engage in operations, presentations, and multi-line businesses.
•Demonstrates a hands-on approach that effectively bridges high-level strategic direction with operational team success.
•Direct the formation of new companies for financial and ERP optimization.
•Manage tax filings, financial statements (domestic and international), and guide company structuring for tax benefits.
•Support business planning through financial analysis and manage mergers & acquisitions.
•Manage and grow high-net-worth clientele at a global level.
•Collaborate with department heads to align financial and operational objectives.
Financial Strategy and Management
•Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals, including strategic financial planning and risk management.
•Oversee financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
•Provide executive-level financial insights and analysis, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Training and Development
•Prepare and implement training and development programs for the organization.
•Mentoring and developing direct reports.

Education
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience
•15+ years of progressive finance experience.
•5 years in a senior leadership role and financial management in publicly traded companies.
Designations & Certifications
•Certified Public Accountant license required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•Deep knowledge and experience with project accounting.
•Excellent understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and tax laws.
•Experience in public practice accounting and US accounting.
•Extensive experience in managing complex financial operations across multiple businesses.
•Knowledge of the mining, engineering, or geological consulting industries.
•Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint), accounting software and Microsoft suite.
•Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
•Strong professional communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
