REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
•Superintendent reports to the Operations Manager / Senior Superintendent.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
•Be a positive contributor to the success of Colt teammates and PAVED FOR GOOD.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Walk and assess assigned jobs prior to start, documenting abnormalities at jobsite
•Photo document job production process
•Direct manpower and manage budgeted time and material cost
•Receive, account, and secure all job site materials.
•Able to appropriately make decisions and find an effective solution.
•Daily communication with PM’s on schedule and attending meetings.
•Assist Project Manager in planning and coordinating to complete a successful job.
•Understand and oversee pours, elevations, measurements, and slopes
•Owns the field execution and success of assigned projects
•Attend all required safety training/meetings and obey all safety policies and procedures.
•Willing to work on weekends and occasionally at night or early mornings.
•Review and approve crew chief and crew hours.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•Able to read plans, details, and elevations.
•Able to verify existing conditions, layout, and elevations.
•Able to confirm layout and grades as per plans
•Understand and implement verbal and written instructions.
•Work efficiently in a team environment.
•Perform physical labor including lift 50+ pounds or more several times daily, bend, kneel, stand, squat, stoop, walk, climb, lift, push, pull, reach with hands at, below and above shoulder level.
•Work in physically demanding environments including the heat of summer and cold of winters.
•Communicate status, discrepancies and field adjustments to the project manager and other stake holders.
•Comfortable with using a tablet and work related apps.
•Able to operate heavy equipment.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
•Must have at least 10-years of concrete experience.
•Two years of structural concrete experience preferred.
•Valid driver's license with 3 years of driving experience.
•Valid Social Security Card
•Asphalt knowledge preferred
