Substation Technician I

Specialty Engineering, Inc is a unique company offering a wide range of experience and education in power system operations, design, consultation and studies, petroleum industry controls, electrical apparatus maintenance and testing services, and general engineered systems. We provide extensive services from planning studies, design and construction to periodic testing and maintenance. We are currently seeking a skilled Substation Technician to join our Vancouver Substation Tech team.

Requirements:

- This Technician will be required to demonstrate knowledge of basic mechanical/electrical repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting. - 10+ years of mechanic, fabrication, welding or similar experience

- Must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

- A valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record is required.

- Extensive travel both in the state of Alaska as well as Pacific Northwest, Hawaii and South Pacific will be required for this position.

- A team player, self-starter and a well-organized person who is willing to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.

- Attention to detail is required in this position.
