The Modesto Irrigation District is currently recruiting to fill two part-time temporary hourly-intermittent Student Interns, up to 40 hours per week for the summer, in the Water Operations Division. Student interns can expect to work on a variety of special projects related to irrigation and/or civil engineering and land survey during the term of his/her internship.
Duties will vary based on the specific internship and department/division the intern would be assigned.
Typical qualifications may include:* Enrolled in a two or four year college or university with emphasis in Civil Engineering, Land Survey, Agricultural Engineering, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Construction management, Water Resources or other applicable major.
Qualified applicants must submit a completed District application to be received no later than Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Applications will be reviewed on a comparative basis and only those most qualified will be invited to continue in the selection process which may consist of an overall assessment of the individual's skills through (1) oral interview; and (2) contacting of references to include current and former supervisors. The applicant must perform successfully in each phase of the recruitment in order to continue in the selection process.
