As we grow our retail footprint, we are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Store Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day performance of our convenience store locations across the Eastern Shore and surrounding areas.

Position Summary:

The Store Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations for 1–3 convenience store locations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels in coaching teams, driving performance, managing store execution, and ensuring consistent customer experience. The role reports to the CEO & President and plays a key part in building a scalable, best-in-class retail operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

· Oversee daily operations of assigned convenience stores including staffing, scheduling, cash handling, and inventory control.

· Ensure store-level compliance with safety standards, fuel handling requirements, and brand guidelines.

· Manage food service execution, cleanliness, merchandising, and customer satisfaction initiatives.

· Monitor and improve store KPIs including sales, margins, labor efficiency, and shrink.

Team Leadership & Training

· Recruit, train, and supervise store employees, ensuring high levels of engagement, retention, and performance.

· Provide ongoing coaching to store managers and team members, creating a culture of accountability and customer service.

· Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure consistent execution across all locations.

Inventory, Merchandising & Vendor Coordination

· Manage vendor relationships for store deliveries and merchandising programs.

· Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory reconciliation to ensure accurate stock levels and reduce waste or shrinkage.

· Support planogram compliance and seasonal product rollouts.

Process Improvement & Technology

· Help implement store-level technologies and processes to improve efficiency and reporting.

· Collaborate with leadership to roll out new initiatives and pilot programs for future store openings.

Qualifications:

· 3–7 years of experience in retail convenience store operations, quick service restaurants, grocery or related industries (preferred).

· Demonstrated experience managing teams and leading store-level operations.

· Strong understanding of inventory control, scheduling, and customer service best practices.

· Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Tech-savvy with experience using POS systems, back-office software, or workforce management tools.

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

Location & Travel Requirements:

This position is based at Vexxil Energy’s headquarters in Daphne, AL. It will require regular travel between retail store sites along the Alabama Gulf Coast.
