Sr Siting and Land Rights Agent or Principal Land Rights Agent

The below job summary and responsibilities reflects the duties of the Sr Siting and Land Rights Agent or Principal Land Rights Agent. Levels will differ as more skills and/or experience will be required. The successful candidate will be placed at a level that is commensurate with the candidate's skills and experience.

Position Summary

Perform full range of activities associated with the planning, siting and acquisition of permits and land rights for the construction, operation and maintenance of electrical and gas utility facilities for Xcel Energy and its subsidiary companies. Under consultative direction and with some latitude for unreviewed actions, position makes decisions regarding the need for permits, negotiates acceptable permit conditions and determines appropriate measures to minimize environmental impacts. Possess comprehensive knowledge of row acquisition and land management principals.

Minimum Requirements - Sr Siting and Land Rights Agent - $82,000 - $135,000

Bachelors degree in real estate, land use planning, management or business. A combination of relevant education and experience totaling 8 years may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. Minimum of 5 years of increasingly complex siting, acquisition and/or land rights management experience. Demonstrated project management skills.

Minimum Requirements - Principal Land Rights Agent - $95200 - $155,200

Bachelors degree in real estate, land use planning, management or business. A combination of relevant education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Minimum 8 years of increasingly complex siting, acquisition and/or land rights management experience. SR/WA designation or advanced degree a plus. Experience with state and federal permit and/or acquisition activities. Demonstrated skills in technical writing, verbal communications, negotiations and project management skills. Valid driver's license is required.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $82,000.00 to $155,200.00 per year
