Provide overall management of assigned projects in the Technology and Automation business line, providing expertise as a hands-on project manager and/or project engineer to ensure proper delivery of complex projects that meet or exceed client requirements.
- Lead multi-discipline teams as required to deliver supporting engineering and design services associated with technology and automation projects;
- Work with other managers or disciplines as applicable to develop schedules and plans for various elements of the project;
- Develop project forecasts, schedules, cost estimates and project related financial reports;
- Responsible for client satisfaction and safe delivery of work in accordance with budgets, schedules, and quality requirements;
- Visible leader with relentless focus on safety and culture to motivate team performance;
- Ensure that proper documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle;
- Track, report, and communicate project status effectively to the client and EDG stakeholders;
- Support business development initiatives and proposal efforts;
- Visibly champion EDG's 'Character by Design' and 'Unifying Principals'.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar discipline required;
- Ten (10) or more years of relevant technical experience required;
- Ten (10) or more years of project engineering and project management experience in the relevant industry required;
- Strong understanding of the PMBOK guides and standards - PMP certification a plus;
- Demonstrated ability to perform as a seller and a doer of services;
- Ability to build trust and consensus within a client organization to drive client satisfaction and repeat business;
- Knowledge and relationships with key technology suppliers in the automation, digital twin, and asset performance management markets;
- Experience managing mid to large-scale main automation contractor projects;
- Ability to interact and collaborate with peers across the organization;
- Requires the ability and availability to travel offsite as required.
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private office) but may require occasional travel to off-site work locations;
- Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant or offshore platform atmosphere;
- Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
- Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels;
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;
- May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes;
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
