Summary:
The Sr. Procurement Manager is part of the center-led Procurement Team, achieving competitive advantage by applying best practices in supply management and driving overall business profitability. The Sr. Procurement Manager leads a team of Procurement professionals including PPM’s, achieving competitive advantage through applying best practices in supply chain management and driving overall business profitability and Key Supplier Management behavior internally and externally to contribute to the success of RES and its key suppliers. The Sr. Procurement Manager actively leads the aligned Division Procurement teams with a focus on training and development of the team members as well as creating and executing supply chain strategy with consideration for the business streams.
This role will be hybrid requiring 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.
Requirements:•Creates and executes procurement strategies in alignment with business goals and long-term plans, focusing on driving the procurement function.
•Leads key supplier engagement and negotiations, focusing on providing the best value for RES with a focus on assigned business units and/or categories.
•Engages senior-level teams (stakeholders) throughout the organization to ensure alignment with organizational strategic objectives and project needs.
•Demonstrates leadership and expertise in the eyes of client groups.
•Reports on high-level market updates as well as project-specific procurement progress.
•Develops category-specific sourcing strategies and category plans that span across the business.
•Creates, evaluates, and reviews opportunities to implement best practice purchasing policies, processes, and procedures for continuous process improvement to support business performance that delivers value; continually identifies and implements new opportunities for cost savings and cost avoidance and proactively tracks these objectives.
•Establishes targets and oversees the management & evaluation of supplier performance.
•Provides management reports and key performance data, monitors and tracks savings opportunities, and schedules impacts for each project.
•Supports the operational Procurement teams ensuring that RES levers the value of strategic relationship and implementation of defined master supply agreement, if any.
•Communicates across the North American team to drive alignment with global strategy, supply chain relationships, best practice sharing, and optimization of project cost, particularly emphasizing efficiency improvement for capturing capex / opex reduction
•Maintains responsibility for tracking the overall performance and cost data (historic and forecast data) of defined strategic suppliers in North America, secures feedback from the wider business, and represents the North American business with key global strategic suppliers.

Qualifications:
•Knowledge of Lean methodology.
•Functional competencies include accountability, building strategic partnerships, business acumen, collaboration, and excellence.
Required:
•Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent degree, or 15+ years military/education/relevant work/field experience combination.
•10 years’ experience negotiating purchase orders and subcontracts.
•Ability to travel domestically 16-30%.
•Construction procurement experience with focus on renewables (Solar, Wind, Storage, T&D), preferably related to supply of major equipment and/or subcontracts - trackers, inverters, BLA, cable, electrical and/or civil subcontracts.
•Able to lead complex negotiations with key suppliers and subcontractors.
•Key supplier management experience.
•Expert knowledge of contracts and subcontracts.
•Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including scenarios where information is uncertain, and timeframes are tight.
•Advanced experience in contract preparation, negotiation, monitoring, and controlling.
•High level of competency with the Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
•15 years’ experience negotiating purchase orders and subcontracts required. ISM or CIPS certification.
•Master’s degree in construction management, business, engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent degree or 20+ years military/education/relevant work/field experience combination.
•Knowledge of the construction industry and associated field concepts, practices, and procedures, with knowledge of the renewable industry.
•Project management experience.
Anticipated base salary range: $136,000 - $170,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
