- Provides direct oversight to functions and roles in the HSE department at the discretion of the Director, Safety.
- Actively supports the occupational development of HSE team by managing the SMART goal and performance management processes.
- Assesses Blattner safety culture and verifies that Blattner Safety Programs are followed, enforced, and consistent on projects to help ensure site teams are safe while delivering a quality product in an efficient manner.
- Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) identifying where work plans do not address safety and ensures the necessary changes occur by working directly with Operations, Learning and Development, the Lean Advantage Team, and the Quality Department to share and develop work plans into content that demonstrates the safest methods or processes.
- A four-year degree in occupational safety, or related field or equivalent education and experience.
- Ten or more years of progressive related experience. Seven or more years of experience in a construction safety leadership role.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
- Electrical safety experience and CSP certification is preferred.
- Must possess the leadership skills and experience necessary to train and develop employees on Safe Work Plans, processes and methods.
