National Grid is hiring a Sr. Inventory Analyst for Material Planner in Waltham, MA This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to our locations

Job Purpose

To support the Massachusetts Gas and Electric organizations through inventory replenishment, stakeholder engagement, and best practice development. Candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing inventory targets and replenishment strategies to manage inventory across the Gas and Electric business units for National Grid’s NE Operations Support organization. It is an exciting time to join the company as we begin to manage and plan for our new clean energy programs. This position will be accountable for continuous improvement and driving positive change through Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). This position will be based out of the National Grid’s Waltham, MA office locations. Employees will be assigned to the Hybrid working model with home and office work locations.

Key Accountabilities

- Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and share information to benefit National Grid’s inventory management organization.

- Perform analysis and management of inventory levels, demand; re-order points, min/max levels, master data, consumption trends, and other operational/procurement considerations to ensure the continuous flow of inventory materials to the respective warehouses.

- Provide all aspects of materials management related to process and systems expertise, including business support of inventory systems and technology hardware, ad-hoc and routine reporting, and end user training.

- Follow up and coordination with material suppliers for overdue, late, or expected deliveries.

- Coordinate with Master Data team and Engineering leads to ensure appropriate setup of inventory material items and ID’s in SAP.

- Independently collate and analyze work unit and/or financial data within one or multiple areas using pre-determined tools, methods, and formats to support the department’s decision-making process.

- Work on other tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of related experience (Procurement Buyer roles, Inventory Management and/or Material Planning)

- Bachelor’s Degree - required

- Intermediate+ user of Excel

- Experience using SAP or similar ERP programs

Salary

$88,000 - $104,000 a year

Salary commensurate with location and experience
