Materials Analys, Sr is responsible for ensuring proper levels of needed parts and materials are maintained at appropriate levels to support operations , by managing accurate inventories both physically and within the MRP business system.
- Performs analysis to determine proper levels of parts and ensures inventory replenishment is completed to maintain material at those levels
- Performs analysis to identify items that can be purchased directly on contracts by the user for increased efficiency
- Analyzes material exception problems and develops solutions
- Analyzes and resolves backorder problems
- Identifies and ensures obsolete items are cancelled and removed from inventory
- Proactively anticipates material needs and positions material to be available in advance of the need
- Analyzes unit costs and proactively implements strategies to reduce cost
- Recognizes and responds to trends to improve material support
- Analyzes cause and effect relationships, develops and implements solutions
- Serves as the liaison between the technical user and the fabricator/vendor during the quote process and resolves issues while the item is being fabricated
- Tracks work through the fabrication process
- Coordinates and manages the MT&E process, including accurate inventory, recertification and expired tooling
- Identifies, assigns tracking numbers and maintains traceability of government owned property
- Creates and manages records and work orders in the MRP system for all preventive maintenance activities as required
- Manages inventory plans for active, as well as obsolete inventory.
- Performs monthly cycle counts and annual inventories
- Processes receipts in MRP business system for purchase orders and manufacturing orders
- Controls inventory levels of shop supplies and disposable items utilizing min/max processes
We'd Love to Hear from People With:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field (preferred but not required) plus five years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Currently possess a Q clearance or have the ability to obtain a Q clearance.
