Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Tech Support & Quality Control Specialist to join our field operations team. This role is a critical part of our installation and commissioning process, ensuring each project meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and compliance.
This is a hands-on, field-based position that combines technical support, troubleshooting, inspections, and direct client interaction. Your work will be instrumental in upholding the quality and reputation of our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
•Attend On-Site Pre-Construction Meetings with utilities and AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction)
•Perform punchlist and last-minute installation fixes to prepare projects for inspection or final delivery
•Address inspection corrections promptly and professionally
•Oversee and perform system commissioning and troubleshooting checks
•Conduct client app walkthroughs to ensure customers understand system operation
•Verify all installed work aligns with approved plans and permit documentation
•Provide quality control oversight on-site, with QC being the top priority across all projects
•Apply final aesthetic touches (e.g., conduit painting) as needed
•Maintain a high standard of communication with internal teams and clients
Qualifications:
•4+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial solar installation or tech support
•Proven knowledge of solar PV systems, battery storage, and system commissioning
•Familiarity with AHJ processes, fire setbacks, NEC regulations, and safety compliance
•Experience with equipment such as Enphase, Tesla Powerwall, FranklinWH, and SolarEdge
•Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
•Professional and friendly demeanor with clients and inspectors
•Clean driving record and willingness to travel to job sites 90% of the time.
•Comfortable using mobile apps, cloud-based tools, and digital forms
•OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
