As a Solar Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and optimizing residential solar systems across the region. You’ll work independently in the field to troubleshoot systems, conduct inspections, and ensure that every installation meets the highest standards. Responsibilities:
Service & Troubleshooting
•Independently diagnose and repair solar and electrical system issues, including inverter troubleshooting, wiring updates, panel relocations, and system commissioning.
•Ensure cloud connectivity and performance monitoring are fully functional post-service.
•Represent Ambia professionally by arriving on time, communicating clearly, respecting customer property, and resolving issues in a single visit whenever possible.
•Participate in regular training and development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Inspection Support
•Prepare sites in advance to ensure they are ready for municipal inspections.
•Meet with city inspectors on-site with all required documentation, tools, and equipment to ensure successful inspection outcomes.
•Act as the liaison between Ambia, customers, and inspectors, providing clear and professional communication throughout the inspection process.
•Retrieve and deliver permits as required.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Previous experience in solar (1-2 years).
•Knowledge of Enphase and SolarEdge systems required.
•Familiarity with solar installation techniques, equipment, and electrical schematics.
•Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
•Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities.
•Ability to work safely at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
•Dedication to following safety guidelines and industry regulations.
•Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
•Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Requirements:
•A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
•A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than two moving violations within the past 4 years).
