Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Solar Installer / Technician. As a Solar TECH, you will be responsible for service calls, RMA. This is currently a position for part time after work hours or weekends if you have a full time job already. Or part time day hours. Flexible hours in general.
If experience is verified then we may use you as a installer to review plan sets, confirming material orders, installing solar panels, passing inspections, installing battery systems TESLA etc, must have own reliable truck transportation, BE located in San Diego.
Responsibilities
- Review plan sets and make sure all is correct
-Find and source other installers and communicate with client for installation.
-Schedule site surveys for potential or contracted clients and complete the survey.
-Install solar panels on rooftops or other structures following schematics and ensuring compliance with construction site safety standards
- Connect panels to the electrical system of the building, including high and low voltage components
- Use hand tools to secure panels in place and perform fixture installations
- Test voltage levels using a voltmeter to ensure proper functioning
- Work on the roof, including tasks such as mounting brackets and sealing connections
- Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and meets quality standards
Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics for solar panel installations
- Experience working on construction sites, especially with electrical components
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in solar panel installation
- Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems
- Ability to use a voltmeter for testing electrical connections
- Understanding of fixture installation techniques
- Comfort working on roofs and knowledge of roof-related tasks
- Ability to plumb connections accurately
- Must be able to go on service calls , troubleshoot and fix existing systems
2) Complete knowledge and certifications for installing battery systems: Enphase, franklin, solaredge, and tesla.
4) Must be able to use and troubleshoot monitoring systems for previous clients.
