Solar Electrician /Lead

ILUM SOLAR is looking to hire an experienced Solar Electrician/ Lead Inataller to join our team in the Sacramento area. In the Solar Electrician/Lead role you will be responsible for leading the installation team and helping complete electrical connections for residential solar installations. This position will require a well-rounded solar electrician that can apply their electrical knowledge & efficient installation skills on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

Install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of residential solar PV systems

Ensure electrical systems meet company standard job specifications, the National Electrical Code, and other relevant local codes

Act as an on-site lead for install team and provide regular reports to the Construction Supervisor

Perform meter upgrades and service panel upgrades as needed.

Bend conduit and pull wire

Test systems to ensure proper operation

Maintain a clean jobsite and safe working environment

Keep service vehicle stocked properly

Coordinate and communicate with electrical inspectors on projects

Correspond professionally with homeowners

Provide regular updates of job status, complete necessary paperwork, and photos

Requirements

Experience installing both residential roof and ground mount systems

Experience installing electrical equipment, completing DC conduit runs and interconnecting the PV system to the existing service.

Experience with micro and string inverters as well as setting up monitoring systems.

Must have full range or mobility in upper and lower body; ability to work in various positions & environments, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time

Ability to lift, pull and push materials and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds on a frequent basis

2+ years of previous solar electrician experience (applicants with no solar and or no extensive electrical experience will not be accepted and or reviewed)

1+ years of previous solar installation experience required (applicants with no solar and or no extensive electrical experience will not be accepted and or reviewed)

Must possess a current, valid Driver's license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (will be verified)

Must pass a drug test

Must have NEC knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
