Solar CAD Drafter / Designer

Castillo Engineering is looking for a detail-driven and automation-minded Solar CAD Drafter / Designer to join our electrical engineering team in Maitland, FL.

Are you passionate about solar energy and excited to push the boundaries of CAD workflows? This role goes beyond standard drafting — we’re looking for someone with experience or strong interest in AutoCAD automation, LISP scripting, or AI tools to help us streamline our design process.

What you'll do:

🔹 Produce electrical layouts, SLDs, and standard details in AutoCAD

🔹 Collaborate with engineers to integrate calculations into drawings

🔹 Improve CAD standards, templates, and libraries

🔹 Implement or explore automation tools like AutoCAD LISP and Excel-to-CAD workflows

🔹 Review drawings for accuracy and code compliance

What we're looking for:

✔️ 3–4 years of CAD drafting experience (solar or MEP preferred

) ✔️ Strong AutoCAD skills: XREFs, dynamic blocks, sheet sets, et

c. ✔️ Experience or strong interest in automation using LISP or

AI ✔️ Detail-oriented with strong communication and collaboration sk
