Social Media Intern
This social media internship provides hands-on experience in content creation and digital engagement across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Interns will assist with planning, designing, and scheduling posts, support on-location content production, and engage with online audiences to help build community. Additional responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, researching trends, and contributing strategic recommendations to enhance social media efforts.
The Social Media Intern should be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to take initiative in supporting the leadership and marketing teams across a variety of social media and content-related tasks, often without the support of a larger team.
Major Responsibilities:
•Assist in planning and scheduling social media content (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).
•Create engaging posts using tools like Canva, Sprout, & Adobe Creative Suites.
•Monitor engagement, respond to comments/ messages, and help build community.
•Research trending content, hashtags, and best practices.
•Support on-location content creation (e.g. photos, video walkthroughs, open houses).
•Track and report basic analytics and suggest improvements.
•Create print and electronic marketing materials, offering memorandums, pitch decks and other materials and oversee print production as needed
•Maintain constancy with the firm’s brand playbook
•Provide active management of the firm’s social media channels, both corporate and project-level, including curating content and implementing regular social media marketing campaigns
•Remain up to date on best practices for social media strategies, including continuous improvement and education relative to the algorithms and best practices for different platforms and audiences
Requirements:
•Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in English, Journalism, Communications or Graphic Design or related field
•1-2 years experience in creative services, marketing, or social media management
•Familiarity with major social media platforms
•Exceptional communications skills and a proven ability to work independently
•Strong organizational and time management skills
•Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage multiple ongoing projects
•Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow style guides, brand playbooks and varying brand standards across multiple companies and projects
•Demonstrated ability to receive and apply editorial feedback
•Complete proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suites and Canva
•Willingness to work on a fast-paced team, across multiple projects in the Northeast
Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
