Job Summary: At the direction of the Human Resources Manager, help build and implement a plant-wide communications strategy to promote our brand in communities in which we operate. Work with senior leaders to advance our brand story and our values through thoughtful, compelling content across all channels.
The position is in-office and will require approximately 20-30 hours per week (flexible on which weekdays worked).
This position is a part-time, seasonal role with no benefits.
The rate of pay for this internship will be $25 per hour.
•Assist in creating a tactical plan, and execute the plan at the direction of the Human Resource Manager
•Create content to advance our brand story across paid, earned and shared channels
•Help monitor and track results against key performance indicators
•Research and draft project briefs, creative briefs and wrap-up reports
•Research and prepare responses to governmental, press, and community inquiries
•Undergraduate degree in communications, public/government relations, or a related field
•Experience with US manufacturing sector would be an asset
•Demonstrated experience with complex communication activities and strategies
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to craft powerful, engaging, and broadly accessible messages
•Strong organizational and leadership skills, including events management
•Computer literate and competence in desktop publishing, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, etc.) would be an asset
•Social media management, web design and content management would be an asset
