Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded Associate to join our warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient handling of materials, and maintaining a safe work environment. This position requires hands-on experience in warehouse operations, strong teamwork, and the ability to apply OSHA standards to protect employees and equipment. The Skilled Associate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, maintaining operational flow, and upholding workplace safety standards.
- Assist with daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling tools safely and efficiently.
- Apply OSHA standards to all tasks, ensuring proper lifting techniques, PPE use, and safe work practices.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and work areas, reporting hazards and following corrective procedures.
- Support inventory control by performing cycle counts, verifying shipments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Assist in training new staff on safe warehouse practices and operational procedures.
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and company standards.
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings, contributing to a culture of accountability and prevention.
- Respond quickly to incidents or emergencies, following proper reporting and escalation procedures.
- Previous experience in warehouse or logistics operations is required.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and proven ability to apply them in daily work is essential.
- Certified forklift operator or willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, hazard identification, and corrective actions.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely and effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with supervisors and peers.
- Basic computer skills for inventory systems, shipping documentation, or reporting.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional technical training is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends, as operational needs require.
