Responsible for a performing a variety of tasks to support manufacturing and fabrication work at Campos Fabrication in Amherst, NH. The tasks will include (but not strictly be limited to): labor work, carpentry, painting, cleaning, and metal work.
- Following blueprints, building plans, and sketches to understand project requirements
- Accurately measuring and cutting metal, wood, plastic, and other materials to size using a variety of tools.
- Constructing and assembling structural elements
- Proficiently using a range of hand tools (like levels and squares) and power tools (such as saws and drills), grinders, and torches
- Applies protective coatings and paints to large structures, equipment, ensuring their durability and protection from corrosion and environmental damage
- Responsible for thoroughly understanding and communicating client requirements and project risks to appropriate team members and managing all requirements to ensure client expectations are met.
- Establish ownership of project tasks, ensure that team members have the skills and tools necessary to complete assigned tasks, and provide timely feedback to team members.
- Assess project issues and identify solutions to ensure project is delivered on-time and within budget while meeting client and regulatory requirements.
- Requires ongoing coordination, communication and/or team problem solving between departments or functional areas and clients for work production or service quality.
- This position requires regular contact with employees in multiple internal departments and may require contact with client employees.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience painting required(epoxy and spray gun experience are a plus)
- 3+ years of carpentry work experience preferred- Knowledge of welding and blueprint reading are a nice to have
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
