Site Services Projects Lead (Temporary – 2 Positions)

You’ll support both Orano teams and contractors, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and help keep everything on schedule and within budget. From coordinating site logistics and managing daily operations to mentoring teams and contributing to project closeouts, you’ll be at the center of it all. Responsibilities include:
•Provide construction management of projects during the construction season:
•Provide required supervisory support for Contracted and Orano employees assigned to major Site Services Projects
•Ensure compliance with all safety requirements
•Provide all necessary follow-up on project schedule, budget, procurement issues, contractor management documents, quantities tracking, QA/QC plans, and coordination with onsite departments and other contractors/consultants working in the area
•Site support needs (identify and coordinate) – Services/Safety/Radiation Protection, etc.
•Lift plans/rigging plans
•Access requirements (scaffold/AWP etc.)
•Coordinate with contractors to identify needs at site
•Manage contractor training records
•Management of contractors at site:
•Adhere to and successfully execute requirements of the OCI Contractor Manager Program
•Participate in assigned daily tool box talks
•Review and enforce the day-to-day job risk analysis processes as needed
•Participate in incident investigations conducted by Orano Health, Safety and Environment or the Construction Safety Officer
•Monitor contractor compliance with the McClean Lake HSE program
•Ensure contractor area housekeeping is maintained at all times
•Complete routine and regular inspections
•Maintain and provide a Daily Log of all field activities including but not limited to:
•Quarter-daily workface conditions
•Verification of progress claimed by the contractor
•Verification of safe working conditions and housekeeping
•Verification of compliance with Safe Work Plans
•Identify coordination issues and mitigation strategies for resolution
•Verify as-built mark-ups as required
•Support the site services team during closing phases of the construction project including the record of construction reports, contract closeout, lessons learned session and reports, regulatory notifications, turnover package, and filing of project documentation including closeout documentation
•Other duties as assigned by the Site Services Projects and Planning Coordinator
•Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
•A qualified industrial tradesman with an inter-provincial ticket or post-secondary education (degree, diploma, or certificate) is preferred
•8+ years of project/construction management experience is required
•Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
•Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SAP experience is an asset
•Experience in industrial facility is an asset
•Experience in a supervisory role and demonstrated ability to work in team environment
•Experience working in remote or industrial locations is considered an asset
•Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
•Able to work independently under pressure and on a number of projects simultaneously
•Able to work efficiently with other departments within the company
•Able to deal efficiently with outside parties on behalf of the company
Work Location & Schedule:
•14 day in/14 day out rotating schedule
•Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
•Flights from Saskatoon, room & board onsite covered by Orano Canada
•Temporary position from July to November 2025 (may be extended based on schedule and needs)
Fly Day-
This position will fly in and fly out on Friday
Pick-Up Points:
Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, and Wollaston.
As a condition of employment the successful candidate must complete Orano’s pre-employment checks including education verification and employment reference checks.
Drug (including marijuana) and alcohol substance testing is a requirement for all Safety Sensitive positions. Applicants who have recently used marijuana recreationally may not pass a substance test as marijuana can remain in the user’s system for as many as 30 days after use.
