Job Summary: Site Construction Laborers play a crucial role in the successful completion of highway, road, and commercial building, industrial site construction projects. These laborers perform a variety of physical tasks on the construction site, ensuring the project progresses efficiently and safely. Each laborer will be assigned to specific trades based on project needs, requiring physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
General Laborer
Key Responsibilities:
•Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
•Load and unload construction materials and move them to work areas.
•Follow instructions from supervisors and implement tasks accordingly.
•Assist skilled tradesmen as needed.
•Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
•Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
•Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
•Previous construction experience is a plus.
•Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
Concrete Laborer
Key Responsibilities:
•Set up forms for concrete pours for roadways, curbs, sidewalks, and commercial buildings, and industrial sites.
•Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and trowels.
•Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
•Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete.
