Summary of Position:
Our Shop Managers help Midwest Hose & Specialty deliver a positive experience to our local customers by developing relationships while helping to deliver a high-quality service. Managers allow us to develop our staff, control store operations by managing production and inventory according to market trends. This versatile role needs to have industry experience, understand local demands, and have strong leadership abilities to be a successful Midwest Hose Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities:•Develop business strategies to raise customer pool, expand store traffic, and optimize profitability
•Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to staff
•Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
•Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
•Coordinate with operations manager and hose technicians to build stock assemblies
•Manage production schedules
•Manage inventory cycle counts
•Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
•Facilitate shipping and receiving needs
•Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
•Maintain issues that arise from staff or customers
•Provide on-the-ground support for sales
•Provide report of production data to superiors
•Maintain professionalism in the workplace
•Perform any other assigned proprietary duties
Qualifications and Requirements:
•Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within sales and management
•Experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks
•Proficiency in assessing, profiling, and analyzing merchants' needs and proposing customized proposals
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Critical thinking and reasoning to provide customer support and satisfaction
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Solid computer skills such as typing and navigation through various computer programs including MS Outlook, Excel, and Windows
•Compassionate and patient customer service skills
•High attention to detail
•Ability to retain product knowledge
•Commitment to work additional hours as needed to complete orders received daily
•Energetic, outgoing, and positive attitude
•Good organization skills
•Ability to prioritize and manage time
Education and Experience:
•High School diploma or GED (required)
•Some college experience (preferred but not required)
•Prior industry related sales experience (three or more years required)
•Prior industrial hose industry experience (five or more years required)
