Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and experience with various hand and power tools, contributing to the efficient operation of our shop. This role is essential in supporting the production process, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and safely.
Duties
•
Assist in the packaging of products using hand tools and power tools.
•
Maintain proper paperwork for shipping and receiving products.
•
Operate machinery and equipment safely within the manufacturing environment.
•
Support the shop by preparing materials and components for production.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
•
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
•
Operate forklifts as needed for material handling within the warehouse.
•
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop environment.
Requirements
•
Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or factory setting is preferred.
•
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
•
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
•
Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.
•
Forklift certification is a plus but can be obtained after hiring if necessary.
•
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
•
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
