Responsibilities
•
Responsible for packaging, assisting the operator, banding and movement of skids in the work area.
•
Communicate effectively with Machine Operators, crane operators, floor supervisors, quality, and production managers.
•
Ability to lift, assist in team lift, of pallets.
•
Place correct material tags on each bundle after they are properly packaged.
•
Depress controls on conveyor stand to move material to various parts of the conveyor.
•
Notify management of inventory levels of packaging materials needed for the workstation.
•
Communicate with Operators on what materials are needed for all work orders daily.
•
Refill packaging materials as needed.
•
Use of electric saws
•
Housekeeping of workspace to ensure safety.
•
Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift certification (in house)
•
Keeping area clear of scrap including emptying scrap dumpsters.
•
Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
Skills
•
Experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position
•
Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, overhead crane)
•
Strong communication skills
•
Dexterity and attention to detail
•
Organizational skills
•
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
•
Availability to work overtime
