3. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
4. Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
5. Inserts items into containers ensuring the product is carefully and properly protected, and sealed with tape or stranding.
6. Posts weights and shipping charges, using UPS Shipper system.
7. Receives and examines incoming shipments verifying weights and measures, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with Shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
8. Notifies Purchasing of damaged or rejected material.
10. Input information on receipt of goods in main frame system.
11. Unload and load trucks for incoming and outgoing shipments.
12. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
13. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
14. Operates lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

Describe the physical demands and work environment that are representative of what an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
1. Work is performed in a manufacturing plant with exposure to loud noise. Work may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosive, fumes or airborne particles.
2. Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, reach, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear and see.
3. Mandatory need to lift light to moderately heavy objects of at least 25 pounds.
4. Routinely required to lift light to moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
5. Must be competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation of field of vision, hearing, depth perception, and reaction timing.
6. Mandatory need to have clear vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
7. Mandatory need to identify and distinguish colors by sight.
8. Required to wear personal protective equipment on a regular basis: hearing protection, safety glasses, safety foot wear. The incumbent will be required to wear the following PPE as needed: hard hat, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing (rain suit, etc.), gloves, and other PPE as determined to protect the individual.
