Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Suncor Stainless, Inc., located in the Plymouth Industrial Park, has an immediate opening for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM.

Our manufacturing facility is a safe and comfortable environment that is heated and cooled and provides an efficient workspace with Wi-Fi accessibility.

JOB DUTIES:

- Prepare orders for shipping by verifying that product picked matches items on packing slip and quantities match.

- Take steps necessary to verify invoices, bills of lading, or other available documents are present and correct prior to shipping.

- Take steps to assure that items shipped correctly using selected shipping methods and requirements selected on provided packing slip.

- Use due diligence to assure orders are picked with complete accuracy.

- Makes sure proper stock rotation is occurring for incoming product.

- Occasional interaction between the sales department to help orders that need priority or assistance in determining the proper shipping method.

- Continual care of equipment used.

- Makes sure all shipping stations are properly organized and cleaned to facilitate an efficient shipping process.

- Participates with inspections of incoming product in relation to product specification, including a function test, visual check for defects, dimensional check, and XRF scan.

- Records all relevant information on packing slips/invoices and the inbound receiving log.

- Organizes all overstock in the bulk warehouse storage locations.

- Processes returns of any product coming back from customers.

- Records and distributes received consumables such as office supplies, tooling, safety supplies, and product samples to the correct departments.

- Assist other warehouse departments when needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Excellent communication skills

- Positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team.

- Ability to work with handheld barcode reader.

- Basic computer skills.

- Ability to lift up to 75lbs and stand for extended periods of time.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- General computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail combined with good verbal and written communication.

- Experience with pallet jacks and forklifts.

- Ability to lift loads of up to 50lbs.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
