Shipping and Receiving Clerk – Day Shift

We are looking for a dynamic and results-orientated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team!

Key performance areas

Responsible for organizing and monitoring the shipment and delivery of all supplies, materials, and finished products while ensuring accurate and timely receipt and dispatch of all inventory and supplies.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.

- Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.

- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.

- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.

- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.

- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.

- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.

- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.

- Maintain chemicals and logs and adhere to dual control processes.

Competencies

- Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock

- Receiving, stocking, and stacking materials

- Pulling, packing, and loading materials for shipment

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day

- Must be able to stand, squat, push, pull

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) are required

- Familiarity with Power BI is not required but considered a valuable asset

- Requires the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, respond promptly to changing demands, and maintain productivity in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

- Must be able to multi-task and pivot with priority changes

- Able to work independently and within a team

Please note the following physical requirements for this role:

Frequent Physical Requirements:

Lifting up to 50 pounds, standing

Repetitive Motion Physical Requirements:

Typing, eye/hand/foot coordination

Frequent Physical Requirements:

Carrying objects, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, walking

Profile

Highly organized and have a keen attention to detail and ability to question the facts. Working with continuous improvements is a natural part of your character and you feel comfortable searching for information, identifying small and large solutions, and challenging the norm. You are flexible, react well to change, and remain calm in the face of challenges. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. Fluency in both written and spoken Spanish is often necessary for daily communication with clients and team members.

Experience and Education

- Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.

- Experience using shipping and logistics software tools, including but not limited to UPS and FedEx systems

- Ideal applicant will bring at least 6 months of hands-on experience in logistics, retail, or customer service environments

- Certification for sit-down and stand-up forklifts is preferred. If not currently certified, candidates must obtain certification within 30 days of hire. Additional Consideration: Applicants with prior experience loading and unloading trucks will be given preference.
