Badger Infrastructure Solutions is a non-destructive method of excavating utilizing water and a vacuum system. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Shipper and Receiver is responsible for ensuring seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments and items via Oracle Cloud. The successful candidate understands the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of incoming and outgoing deliveries.
The salary for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
•Receives and sorts incoming parts and puts away to designated storage locations in the warehouse or the outside storage areas along with using Oracle Cloud for Receiving and Put away function
•Processes all required receiving/shipping paperwork and maintains adequate receiving and shipping records for reporting and tracking.
•Prepares and schedules shipments as assigned.
•Schedules daily transportation needs with different carriers/couriers.
•Ensures accurate loading and unloading of deliveries.
•Tracks shipments and verifies receipts of shipments as required.
•Manages and maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
•Sorts, labels, and distributes incoming shipments.
•Performs quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off.
•Ensures that all in and outbound shipments are accommodated by the appropriate shipping documents and addresses and resolves any missing document requirements with procurement, vendors and or carriers.
•Reports discrepancies between PO and Receipt to Procurement via the PR system.
•Follows current standards and procedures.
•Maintains organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
•Maintains yard and ensures that no part leaves the receiving staging areas without being properly labelled and accounted for.
•Supports and participates in frequent cycle counts and annual inventory counts.
•Carries out other duties and projects related to inventory as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
•High school diploma or GED.
•Valid driver's license and good driving record.
•Working experience in Shipping and Receiving role, 2 years minimum.
•Prior experience with Oracle an asset.
•Basic understanding of supply chain management and the impact of materials flows on supply chain success.
•Knowledge of filling out waybills for Domestic and International shipments.
•Online shipping, tracking, and receiving experience utilizing FedEx, UPS, Purolator and DHL
•Basic mathematical skills.
•Ability to weigh and measure items.
•Good computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of Excel and Outlook and possess the ability to learn job related computer programs.
•Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck.
•Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and keep on top of priority tasks in a fast-paced environment.
