Sheet Metal Worker

Job Summary:

Join our team as a Sheet Metal Worker, where you will play a crucial role in our general operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with experience in materials handling and warehouse tasks. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in using equipment such as forklifts, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and possess mechanical knowledge to ensure efficient handling of materials.

- Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials, finished products, and tools, ensuring all items are stored properly and safely.

Equipment Operation: Operate various machinery and tools used in metal fabrication, such as saws, grinders, and welders. Training will be provided.

- Assembly and Disassembly: Support the assembly and disassembly of metal components, following blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precision.

- Quality Control: Perform product quality checks, identify defects or issues, and report them to supervisors.

- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment, and the work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Support Tasks: As needed, aid skilled tradespeople, such as welders and machinists, with their tasks, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge.

- Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is preferred but not required. We value a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.

- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and precision in all tasks.

- Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively.

- Safety Awareness: Understanding workplace safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

- Basic Math Skills: Utilize basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials accurately, calculating dimensions, and ensuring the precision of metal components..
