The GCC Service Technician WS 1 safely works alone, or as part of a crew/team to provide fuel, preventative maintenance, and minor repair to construction and transportation equipment
Displays an above average knowledge of equipment and is able to safely operate and test equipment to evaluate condition and ensure that it is in proper operating condition. Displays a basic knowledge of engine, drive train, electrical, and hydraulic systems for construction and transportation equipment
Utilizes basic parts and installation manuals for preventative maintenance and minor replacement parts
Timely, accurately, and consistently completes, reviews, and submits required paperwork for internal controls to include daily documentation of fuel intake and distribution
Completes and submits required paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations
Has a good understanding of equipment work order processing for scheduled maintenance purposes and minor equipment repairs. Is responsible for maintaining open communication with job sites in regard to proper operation of company equipment
Communicates and educates field personnel and employees at job sites on GCC daily inspection and lube process. Has a basic understanding of Microsoft Applications to include Excel, Outlook and Word
Identifies and utilizes the proper hand tools and safety equipment for each assignment
Maintains, in excellent condition, all assigned GCC tools and equipment
Maintains work area and company vehicles in a safe and orderly condition
Maintains a valid CDL license, with the following endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake. The GCC Service Technician will be a student and a teacher
Seeks knowledge, with a culture of continual learning, though all available resources, including industry and professional associations
Serves as a mentor and a coach to other team members. Safely works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. regularly, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally. See attached Physical Requirements Inventory.
Entry level; some exposure to an equipment service environment preferred.
