Position Summary
The Service Supervisor at Flying A Pumping Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and service delivery in the field. This role includes managing a team of service technicians, ensuring equipment is maintained and deployed efficiently, and coordinating with clients to ensure job requirements are met. The Service Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring safety protocols are followed and that services are delivered on time and to the client's satisfaction.
Key Roles / Responsibilities
- Oversee field operations and supervise service technicians and operators during job execution.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and functioning properly before deployment.
- Coordinate with the operations manager to assign personnel and resources to meet service demands.
- Act as a liaison between the company and clients, ensuring clear communication and service expectations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in alignment with company and regulatory standards.
- Monitor job progress, provide technical assistance, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment usage, and personnel assignments.
- Ensure all field personnel are trained and certified in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide performance feedback, training, and support to field staff to improve service quality.
- Participate in planning and scheduling meetings to ensure service operations align with client and company goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in oilfield services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of oilfield equipment, particularly related to pumping services.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures within the oilfield industry.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and make quick, informed decisions in the field.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites as needed.
- Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
- The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
- Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
- Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
- React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
- Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
