Idaho Power — located in Pocatello, Idaho — is looking for an Service Specialist I or II to join our Customer Operations team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Service Specialist I or II do for us?
The Service Specialist I or II works with a high degree of accuracy to perform tasks in support of lines core business practices regarding the construction and maintenance of the distribution lines system for internal and external customers in Idaho and Oregon.

A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Knowledge of:* Idaho Power and state electrical connection and energization statutes and rulesSkills in:* Building productive work relationships, critical thinking, working in a team and independently, assisting with the training and mentoring of new Service Specialists
Ability to:* Understand the interdependence of processes and impact on other work groups
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Service Specialist I
Education:* High school diploma or GEDExperience:* 3 years of customer service experience in an office environment or related industry
Preferred:* 4 years of customer service experience in an office environment or related industry
Service Specialist II Education:* High school diploma or GED
Experience:* 5 years of customer service experience in an office environment or related industry, including 2 recent years as a Service Specialist I with successful completion of training program
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position. This job may require the performance of additional tasks assigned by company leaders or management. Dependent upon location, in addition to above duties, may pay bills, maintain office supply inventory, deposit meter specialist collections, act as Record Retention Coordinator, maintain filing for work orders, assist with walk-in customers, send, and track certified mail, complete fault current requests, assist regional coordinator with “on-call” duties, coordinate emergency work with line crews, and assist in the storm room. Job may require occasional travel with overnight stays. Competencies:
