Our client, a fast-growing environmental consulting and engineering organization with a strong U.S. presence and a global footprint, is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead its U.S. Environmental and Engineering Services division.
This is a high-profile executive role responsible for strategic growth, operational excellence, and organizational leadership across a diverse portfolio of environmental consulting and engineering teams. Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
- Provide executive leadership and set the strategic vision for U.S. Environmental & Engineering Services.
- Develop and execute national growth strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee operational performance, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Manage large-scale financial performance including P&L ownership, forecasting, and investment prioritization.
- Lead integration efforts for newly acquired businesses and foster collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Standardize best practices in project execution, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
- Build and retain top talent through workforce planning, succession strategies, and professional development initiatives.
- Represent the organization at industry events, maintaining strong relationships with executive-level clients, regulators, and partners.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive service innovation, go-to-market strategies, and competitive positioning.
Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in environmental consulting, engineering services, or related industries, including 5+ years in senior executive roles.- Proven track record managing large-scale operations with full P&L accountability (nine-figure division preferred).
- Deep knowledge of U.S. environmental regulations, industry trends, and market dynamics.
- Experience driving organizational growth, integrating acquisitions, and scaling multi-location operations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Willingness to travel nationwide to engage with teams, clients, and partners.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams for reporting and presentations.
