We are an Atlanta-based Real Estate Development and Investment firm with a multi-billion dollar portfolio of land and multi-family/BFR development projects throughout the Sunbelt and Southeast. We are seeking an experienced real estate executive for a SVP of Finance and Acquisitions position. The best candidate will be an entrepreneurial thinker and responsible for underwriting and financing of multifamily real estate investments and development projects, cash flow modeling, acquisitions, valuations, assembling offering memoranda, and interacting with brokers, lenders, equity and debt partners in a fast-paced, demanding work environment. The candidate must be experienced and comfortable in an institutional environment as it relates to communication, execution and deliverables.

Principal Responsibilities:

- Oversee all finance and acquisition functions for the organization

- Assist in securing financing, both equity and debt, for land and multi-family/BFR development projects

- Build and maintain complex cash flow models and quarterly/annual valuation models

- Review proposed distributions and confirm correct application in accordance with equity capital/waterfalls

- Receive verbal and written information about transaction concepts and produce models accordingly

- Compile quantitative analysis of budgeted, actual, and projected cash flows

- Complete various financial analyses and data requests in a timely manner when requested

- Coordinate and review debt and equity funding request packages in a timely and thorough manner

- Monitor and review progress of business plans and capital budgets

- Coordinate receipt and review of monthly financial statements

- Coordinate receipt and review of annual operating and capital budgets

- Review, comment and monitoring of loan documents and proposed operating agreements

- Coordination and management of loan closings and equity closings for land acquisitions and construction loans

- Implement underwriting process on due diligence and feasibility analysis for multifamily acquisitions and developments.

- Prepare detailed offering memoranda/packages for equity partners and lenders.

Qualification Requirements:

- Institutional written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

- Effective time-management

- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline preferred; MBA is a plus

- 5+ years of real estate finance / underwriting / asset management / acquisitions experience

- Results-oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated team player

- Strong technical skills with an advanced knowledge of Argus, Microsoft Excel and Power Point

- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

- Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple dynamic projects at various stages of completion
