Tundra is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Joint Venture Analyst based out of our Calgary, AB office. The successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Tundra’s hybrid work schedule.
As Senior Joint Venture Analyst, you will play a key role in managing contractual obligations and ensuring data accuracy across joint venture and marketing agreements. This position supports business operations and fosters collaboration across departments, contributing to the integrity and efficiency of our contract management processes.

- Draft, enter, and update Joint Venture and Marketing contracts in CS Explorer.
- Prepare and revise exhibits, schedules, and appendices for company-operated agreements.
- Conduct property and area reviews to identify and resolve contractual discrepancies.
- Maintain and update exhibits for both operated and non-operated JV agreements.
- Prepare and review operated and non-operated Joint Venture agreements in alignment with corporate standards.
- Respond to inquiries from internal business groups and draft correspondence as directed by the JV Supervisor.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms are understood and correctly applied.
- Work closely with internal teams including Area Land Negotiators, Land Administrators, Engineering, Accounting, and Executive Leadership.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as Land Negotiators, Joint Venture personnel, Accounting teams, and Marketing representatives.
- Manage operated and non-operated Mail Ballots and review company AFEs.
- Track non-operated take-or-pay obligations.
- Perform general administrative tasks and contribute to process improvements.
- College Diploma or University Degree, preferably in business or a related field.
- JV Administration and JV Analyst Certificates.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in Joint Venture Administration and Analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, AccuMap, and CS Explorer.
- Strong understanding of Joint Venture agreements including CO&Os, Padsite Sharing, Unit, Water Disposal, and Service Agreements.
- Solid knowledge of accounting processes, A&D agreements, and marketing logistics, with the ability to support financial and operational decision-making.
- Familiarity with North American natural gas and crude oil pipeline infrastructure, commodity markets, and marketing cycles.
- Advanced proficiency in JV/Oil & Gas systems including CS Explorer, AccuMap, JIBLink, AFE Navigator, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, research, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and contract integrity.
- Strong interpersonal and critical analysis skills, with the ability to work professionally, confidentially, and collaboratively across diverse internal and external teams.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while upholding Tundra’s core values.
