The California market, with its vast network of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar installations, represents a key growth area for RST. We're seeking a seasoned professional to drive our expansion within this dynamic sector. Our focus is on commercial, agricultural, and small utility systems, where our cost-effective solutions deliver substantial value.
This is a full-time, senior-level Sales Manager position based in the Central Valley of California. You will be a key player in our "lean and mean" team, taking on a multifaceted role encompassing sales, strategic account management, and pre-construction support. Your primary focus will be on cultivating and managing relationships with EPCs integrating RST solutions into their offerings and direct clients such as agricultural and facility owners.
- Strategic Sales & Business Development:
Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities within the California C&I solar market.
- Technical Consultation:
Conduct thorough site assessments and prepare detailed proposals.
- Account Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and identifying upselling opportunities.
- Pre-Construction Support:
Collaborate with the operations team to facilitate seamless project design and setup.
- Market Expertise:
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the California solar landscape.
- Travel:
75% of the time will be spent in the field, with the remaining 25% at your personal office.
- Reporting directly to the CEO.
- Minimum 3 Years of Proven Experience:
A verifiable track record of at least two (2) years in solar sales specifically within the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar PV sector in California.

- Deep Understanding of C&I Solar:
Comprehensive knowledge of C&I solar installation processes, financial models, and performance metrics.
- Technical Proficiency:
Ability to understand and communicate complex technical information related to solar PV systems and automated cleaning solutions.
- Sales Acumen:
Demonstrated success in developing and closing high-value sales deals.
- Relationship Building:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- California Market Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of the California solar market, including regulations, incentives, and key players.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is highly preferred.

Must reside in California.
