Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Assistant Geology Superintendent, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Utilize technologies and work with partners and stakeholders to develop geological models and a global mineral resource estimate following NI 43-101 standards and the best practice guidelines;
- Manage and update the long-term geological resource model and oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the short-term geological models to produce a resource estimate;
- Assist with the generation and approval of short and long term drill targets and oversee the QAQC programs of the database to ensure accuracy of all geological data used in the resource estimate;
- Work with the engineering in the accurate development of reserves;
- Work as with different teams to generate long term mineral resource growth strategies while ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements and Company safety, Health and Environmental standards and Procedure.
- Post-Secondary Education preferred;
- Strong appreciation and knowledge of structural & production geology;
- 5 years in gold and underground;
- 2 years block modeling (Datamine and/or Leapfrog Edge preferred);
- Strong ability with geological software (Datamine, Fusion, DH Logger, AutoCAD etc;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Schedule: 5/4 or 4/3 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
